Qualifications and professional activities

Ira graduated as an engineer (INSA Lyon), and holds a PhD in Biology from the University of Paris-Saclay – a thesis work carried at INRAE. During her thesis on proofreading and mismatch repair mechanisms in Bacillus subtilis, she gained expertise in bioinformatics and molecular evolution.

Fields of Expertise

Ira is involved in drafting and defending patent applications in Europe and internationally. She is involved in patentability analyses and freedom-to-operate studies. Ira’s scientific curiosity is fueled by the variety and complexity of the technologies she deals with.
